Peacock Carpet ~ Navy Blue

I am head over heels with these incredible chainstitch carpets that I found during my travels to India. Each carpet is made by hand by skilled artisans in Kashmir, the most northern part of India. Using a technique called chainstitch, colourful pure wool yarn is stitched by hook through cotton. Each carpet takes up to two months to complete.
