Antique Steel Engraving ~ Slender & Iris Parakeet

We are constantly searching for vintage prints and engravings to complement your tropical interiors. We found this series of original antique hand coloured steel engravings from a small antiques vendor in England.

This one is a pair of Slender and Iris Parakeets dated from the year 1852. It's been framed in a black coloured wooden frame with a thin gold rim here in Singapore. The black coloured mount emphasises the beautiful bold colours of the parakeets.

It would look great as a single little picture over a side table or in a group on a gallery wall. There might be slight irregularities on the engravings, which are normal and reflect the age of the picture.
