The Indah Kaftan ~ No 3 PREMIUM
The Indah Kaftan (Indonesian name with the meaning ‘Beautiful One’) is a one size fits all unique classic Kaftan, that will take you from day to night. Wear it with one of our matching handwoven Ikat belts or any other belt, to achieve your desired fit or wear it loose on a casual day.
The Kaftans are lovingly sewn by a group of Indonesian women on the island of Java. They are using handwoven Ikats that are sourced from local villages all over Indonesia. Each Ikat is made of naturally dyed cotton thread handwoven on the backstrap loom by the indigenous community, using ancient weaving techniques. The colours and local pattern variations have been used for generations - each region and village has its own patterns.
All of our Kaftans are only available in up to three pieces or less per style. Traditionally they come without pockets. Available in two lengths - long and short. Kaftan No 3 is like pure sunshine - warm shade of yellow and orange with sage green. It is a PREMIUM fabric, which has a finer pattern than our usual Ikats.

| Materials & Care: |
100% cotton, wash with similar colours and a mild detergent. As the cotton is dyed by hand it might slightly transfer at the start. We suggest to wash it before using for the first time. Air-dry. Please note that the handwoven cotton and Kaftan measurements might have little irregularities which are not considered as faults but emphasise the beauty of the handmade garments. No Ikat is the same and so is the Kaftan. |
