Ikat Kaftan

The Indah Kaftan (Indonesian name with the meaning ‘Beautiful One’) is a one size fits all unique classic Kaftan, that will take you from day to night. Wear it with one of our matching handwoven Ikat belts or any other belt, to achieve your desired fit or wear it loose on a casual day.

The Kaftans are lovingly sewn by a group of Indonesian women on the island of Java. They are using handwoven Ikats that are sourced from local villages all over Indonesia. Each Ikat is made of naturally dyed cotton thread handwoven on the backstrap loom by the indigenous community, using ancient weaving techniques. The colours and local pattern variations have been used for generations - each region and village has its own patterns.

All of our Kaftans are only available in up to three pieces or less per style. Traditionally they come without pockets. Available in two lengths - long and short.
