Inspired by murals of the North Portico at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, these hand-painted Trinket Boxes will bring a little whimsical touch to your desk or wherever you place them - they are the perfect little box for stationary, jewellery, match boxes...you name it.
The story behind the eyes: "The Eyes of Blenheim Palace" have been painted by Colin Gill in 1928. It features six giant, watchful eyes—three blue and three brown—which are said to belong to the 9th Duke of Marlborough and his second wife, Gladys Deacon.
Hand-painted in Kashmir, India. Please note that these are completely handmade items. Small irregularities make them totally unique - no box is the same. The protective lacquer might turn slightly yellow over time, which is normal.
