Cloisonné is an ancient decorative art technique, most commonly associated with metalwork, where coloured areas are separated by metal strips or "cloisons." This technique originated in the Near East and was later refined and widely adopted in China, particularly during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Chinese cloisonné is renowned for its vibrant colours, intricate designs, and the skilful execution of the metalwork and enamelings.
It's a stunning vase for a single flower as well as a small bouquet but equally beautiful on it's own. In very good vintage condition with no visible faults
